Voluntary management
of the carbon footprint

Chile (Santiago de Chile):
Voluntary management of the carbon footprint

DEKRA Chile has made significant progress in its efforts to reduce carbon emissions - including the relocation of its headquarters to a LEED-certified building. Other measures implemented include the installation of solar panels at some technical testing stations and active participation in the “Huella Chile” program. This is a public-private partnership led by the Chilean Ministry of Environment. The program aims to promote the voluntary management of the carbon footprint in companies.
Thanks to this initiative, awareness-raising workshops on recycling and water conservation were held and the existing fleet was replaced with electric vehicles. In 2023, DEKRA received the first “Huella Chile” seal for this. Further sustainability certifications are being sought.
DEKRA employees from Chile show their certificates.
