Italy (Milano):
Holistic approach

Increase in the consumption of green energy by 40 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, new LED lighting system in the DEKRA Italia office in Cinisello Balsamo as already at the locations in Moncalieri, Osnago and Rome, improved charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the most important DEKRA locations, purchase of regional products: The list of measures impressively underlines DEKRA Italia's holistic approach to sustainability.
In April 2023, DEKRA Italia also sponsored the United Nations' Earth Day Italy with over 600 events in Rome to raise awareness, especially among young people, of the importance of environmental protection and the need to change lifestyles. The next priorities include the use of hand-picked organic coffee beans from Africa to support local farmers and centralized print management for each business unit to further reduce paper consumption. The workforce also shows great commitment to a clean environment: together with the non-profit Italian environmental association Legambiente, a volunteer initiative was launched in which almost 300 DEKRA employees in Milan, Rome and Turin were involved in waste cleaning and monitoring and collected a total of 550 kilograms of waste.
