In April 2023, DEKRA in the UK switched its default search engine to Ecosia - a 100% renewable energy-powered platform that helps combat climate change with every search query. Ecosia uses its advertising revenue to support social and environmental initiatives worldwide. These include, for example, tree planting and projects to provide clean water and restore natural habitats. DEKRA employees in the UK are also involved in other ways to promote sustainability. For example, they took part in waste collection campaigns or used environmentally friendly means of transportation.
