Individual Qualification
Further Education and Talent Development
To maintain expertise and address the challenges associated with demographic change, qualification and further education measures are indispensable. DEKRA takes this responsibility seriously and continuously offers its employees professional and personal development opportunities across all levels and age groups. Starting in 2022, the target of five training days per employee and year was surpassed for the first time, reaching nearly six days—a significant improvement over the previous year, reflecting the company’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities.
DEKRA’s training approach includes live, live-online, and online formats to create a blended learning environment. The company also operates a Digital Bootcamp for top managers to enhance their digital skills and the International Advancement Program for high-potential employees to build leadership competencies. Health and safety training also hold high priority, with a variety of courses explicitly addressing physical and mental well-being.
Additionally, DEKRA prescribes global courses on workplace safety and health protection, information security, data protection, compliance, and sustainability, all delivered through a global learning management system (LMS). This system supports flexible, self-directed learning in multiple languages and is central to DEKRA’s digital transformation. Furthermore, DEKRA offers over 180 proprietary training sessions and further 130 soft-skill courses through external platforms.
In 2023, DEKRA launched the Center of Excellence: Talent Management & Organizational Development to enhance the visibility of talents and ensure their systematic development. This new unit includes an organizational talent review process to prepare for future leadership needs and ensure seamless succession planning. The Grow Beyond mentoring program also supports employee development through expert guidance.
