Comprehensive Code of Conduct
for Suppliers

When it comes to responsible action and behavior, DEKRA has always focused on the entire value chain. This is no coincidence. After all, the company is globally active and has an extensive network of suppliers and customers. When it comes to purchasing policy, DEKRA therefore requires suppliers and sub-suppliers to behave in accordance with the three pillars of sustainability - environment, economy and social responsibility. Specifically, the company expects its suppliers to behave in a socially and economically responsible manner (human rights, non-discrimination, ILO standards, occupational health and safety, compliance) as well as ecologically (climate protection, environmental pollution, environmental management system). This is explicitly set out in DEKRA's “Sustainability Supplier Code of Conduct”.

Regular training courses on sustainability in purchasing and the supply chain for all purchasers and members of DEKRA's purchasing team raise awareness and empower the responsible decision-makers and administrators. In addition, the company is gradually expanding its sustainable procurement processes. Environmentally friendly and socially acceptable alternatives are preferred if they are available within a reasonable cost framework. Compliance with the relevant rules and processes is regularly reviewed with the help of risk and demand-oriented audits so that appropriate corrective measures can be taken if necessary. In addition, suppliers have the option of contacting DEKRA anonymously via the compliance whistleblower system and submitting corresponding reports.
