Human Rights
and Social Standards
DEKRA has also proactively launched a Group-wide approach for a corresponding risk management system with associated processes in order to meet the requirements for compliance with due diligence obligations and the targeted human rights objectives along its own business area and the supply chain. To support these efforts, new responsibilities were created and filled, specifically the position of Global Human Rights Officer, and a working group was set up. The company has also made its social standards, which are binding for all Group companies, available in several languages.
The responsible and strictly integrity-oriented conduct of all employees and managers of the expert organization is in turn governed by the DEKRA Code of Conduct (formerly Compliance Guidelines), which apply worldwide. The key points here include law-abiding conduct, responsibility for the company's reputation, respect and integrity, leadership and responsibility, fair competition, avoiding conflicts of interest, handling information, data protection and data security. Internal compliance management controls the implementation, safeguarding and further development of the rules and measures.
